I’ve seen videos of drones flying super high, but what’s the actual limit? How high can they legally go?
In the US, the legal limit is 400 feet above ground level. Other countries might have different rules.

Good to know! Do drones come with built-in limits for altitude?

Yes, most consumer drones have altitude restrictions in their firmware to help you stay within legal limits.
If you’re flying in your backyard, the FAA guidelines are still in place, but you probably won’t get into trouble unless you’re near an airport.
For military drones, the altitude is way higher—tens of thousands of feet. They’re a whole different category.
