It will automatically return to where you made the drone take off. Don’t worry, but you need to wait for the ‘home point updated’ message before taking off, or just wait a few seconds to hear it while already in the air. Don’t move the drone before it says that.

‘The drone says…’? I have talked to my drones several times (mostly complimentary), but they have never ‘said’ anything to me.

The real problem is when the disconnect happens near you.
According to DJI, if it ever experiences a signal loss issue, it should automatically return to home. I’ve never tried it, and I don’t want to.
I don’t know if it helps, but I download a map of the area I’m flying in on the app. I believe it might help in a situation like this. I dunno.

You can still press it, even if the screen is unreadable, I think.
If you look in the box your DJI came in, there is an owner’s manual or a link to an online manual with instructional videos. Use it before you fly again. You are asking basic questions that you should know before flying at all.
Read the manual.
Depending on what you set up. I think the default is RTH, but you can also choose to do nothing and land at the current location. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
