Is extended landing gear a good idea for my Mavic 3 Pro?

I use a hard case for my drone, and that’s where I always try to take off and land… or at least, I try to! Haha.

I usually keep my drone behind the seat in the tractor. Not much space in the cab, but a case might be worth it when I’m using the car.

Why solve a problem you don’t have? As long as the props are clear, it doesn’t matter if the drone body touches the ground. If you’re worried about uneven surfaces, a landing pad is a better solution. It’ll help with dust too.

I think OP is more concerned about protecting the camera than just the body, but yeah, I get your point. :joy:

Yeah, my current drone has had issues with the props getting tangled. I usually take the drone in my tractor, and there’s not a lot of space to carry a landing mat.

No need for landing gear. Either use a landing pad or find a flat spot. Also, hand launching can be tricky—it’s better to hand catch when you need to. If you don’t hold the drone perfectly level on takeoff, it might veer off and hit something.

Just hand launch and catch—it’s a useful skill to have anyway. I think landing legs are a waste of money. If you really want something, get a landing pad, ND filters, or a controller lanyard instead. The lanyard is super useful.
