Hey guys, I’ve been watching drone videos where they fly over houses and private property, and I’m really fascinated by it. But I heard that drone operators need permission from landowners to fly over private property. Can someone clarify this for me?
I don’t think the FAA would require you to register or need authorization to fly drones for recreational purposes.
However, if you’re going to infringe on their privacy or shoot commercial videos, then it should be illegal

Yes, in America at least, and even if you’re flying 2 feet over someone’s property and they hit your drone, they can face federal charges.
