Is it worth purchasing the Potensic ATOM 3-Axis Gimbal 4K GPS Drone?

Seeking advice from anyone with experience. I’m considering purchasing my first drone primarily for taking good pictures, with minimal videography for personal use. While DJI seems top-notch, the $700-$900 range is a bit steep for my first drone. I’m torn between not wanting to regret buying something cheap and not wanting to overspend. Any recommendations or insights?

If it’s your first drone you could go for the Potensic. It’s less expensive and you can get used to it knowing that if you damage it it’s not the end of the world. I’d assume the DJI mini 3 is better but I can’t add to that. I’m glad I went for the Atom 3-axis gamble. This means I’ve been able to get some experience and maybe in the future I’ll upgrade to a more expensive DJI model.

If you’re looking for a balance between quality and affordability, consider the DJI Mini 2 or Mini SE. Both offer excellent photo capabilities and are user-friendly, perfect for beginners. The Mini 2 provides 4K video and better wind resistance, while the Mini SE is more budget-friendly with 2.7K video. Either choice ensures you get a reliable drone without overspending.

The Atom stands out as the market’s most cost-effective drone for enthusiasts who prioritize flying and filming without the hassle of extensive permissions or complicated features. It offers a delightful flying experience, and the 4K video quality it delivers at such an affordable price is truly impressive.
