Is the Avata 2 a good first drone for me?

Thanks for the info! Are the drones you mentioned FPV as well? What do you think about the price?

The Mini 4 Pro can be used with goggles and a motion controller. It’s not quite like the Avata 2, but it’s pretty cool and still gives you some immersive flying.

The Mini 4 also has automatic dynamic shots like tracking and Hyperlapse. It’s different from the Avata but still a lot of fun.

I started with the Avata 2, then got a Neo and Air 3s. The Neo is fun but doesn’t fly as well as the Avata.

You gotta start somewhere, so go for it.

It’s a bit overpriced at that price, though. The Avata 2 is a fun drone, but I’ve seen it often bought, then sold after a short period because people don’t stick with it. I bought mine for $700 two weeks ago. It was brand new, and the seller had only flown it once. You might want to consider buying used, that way if you end up not liking it, you can sell it without losing too much.

Also, be prepared for the noise. The Avata 2 is louder than most drones, and you’ll probably fly it closer to the ground, so it could annoy some people depending on where you live.

Personally, I wouldn’t spend that much on a hobby you’re just starting out with. You might not enjoy it as much or might not find the time. I’d go with something cheaper for now. If you enjoy it, you can always upgrade later.

Thanks for the reply. I’m starting a media business, and I want to do real estate photography too. Do you think the Avata 2 would be good for that?

It depends. Are you focusing on indoor or outdoor shots? What kind of angles or shots are you looking to get?
