Is the black falcon drone worth it?

I bought two black falcon drones from their website for beginner users. They seem kind of flimsy. Would they be okay for someone just starting out? I also purchased the one-year warranties.

Honestly, get a Ryze Tello for around $100. It’s the only decent drone under $300. Most others are just poorly made.

Thanks for the suggestion! I called the company about a refund, and they offered me a 75% discount if I kept the drones. They refunded the money quickly, so I feel like the price is now reasonable for the quality. If my husband likes it, I might upgrade to something better later.

@Fay
That kind of refund offer shows how overpriced they are. Even with the discount, you might still be better off with a Tello. It’s worth the money for the quality.

Can you describe what you mean by ‘flimsy’? Did you get this drone? How much did you pay? Usually, drones under $250-$300 are toys. They might be somewhat durable but often lack decent features or reliability. On the bright side, if you crash it, it’s not a huge loss.

@Zev
It looks similar to the one you linked. Spending $300 isn’t ideal since I’m not sure if the recipients will even like drones. I’m gifting these along with other presents, so it’s not all about the drones.

I bought a Black Falcon drone, and every time it crashed, the propeller or propeller guard would fall off. It was hard to find the pieces afterward. I returned it and got 85% of my money back (they said there was a 15% restocking fee, but I couldn’t find that policy listed). They let me keep the drone, though. Just be cautious.

I tried flying my Black Falcon drone yesterday, and it suddenly shot up to about 1500 feet before disappearing into the clouds. I had no control over it and just watched as it came down somewhere in the neighborhood. Thankfully, it didn’t hit anyone. These drones need a safety feature to prevent this kind of situation.

I bought a Black Falcon drone after seeing video reviews, but I’m very disappointed. It’s small, flimsy, and when I hit the lift-off button, it took off uncontrollably and ended up in a tree about 100 yards away. The quality is terrible, and the reviews I saw were misleading.

I ordered one two weeks ago, and it still hasn’t arrived. It was supposed to be a birthday gift, but now I’m wondering if I made a mistake.

Black Falcon drones are overpriced junk. Don’t get caught up in their $99 marketing scam.

Too late for me. :pensive:

I bought a Black Falcon 4K drone and felt uneasy, so I checked this forum. Everyone said it’s a scam, so I immediately called customer service to cancel. They tried to offer me a discount, but I insisted on a full cancellation. They refunded my card, and I’m glad I checked here before it shipped.

If the Black Falcon is no good, what are the best drones for camera quality, range, and battery life?

I bought two Black Falcons and requested a refund. They let me keep the drones with a discount. I’ve had issues connecting them to my phone, though. I’ve never seen Wi-Fi names that start with special characters before.

@Kai
I had the same experience. I tested mine indoors, but it never connected to my phone. The build quality is also very cheap. I fell for the fake reviews but decided to keep it and use it for fun outside.

@Zeke
This drone is not suitable for professional use. I lost one when the wind carried it across a pond. Luckily, it landed on the other side. I’m trying to sell mine now.

@Kai
Update: I gave it to my husband, and he managed to give it to a tree. LOL.

LOL.

I just got two Black Falcon drones. I haven’t flown them yet, but the camera looks different from what was advertised. Was I supposed to upgrade it, or can I order better parts?

I bought two as well. Every response from their support team just linked me to the manual. Not very helpful.
