I’m not sure if I can fix this battery issue with my drone or if I should send it to DJI. Here’s a picture of the damage:
What do you think? Should I attempt to fix it or send it in for repairs?

It looks like it might be a bigger issue than just a simple fix. I’d suggest sending it to DJI, especially if you’re still under warranty. They could replace both the battery and the drone. It’s probably not something you can fix on your own.
@Darian
I think the drone is fine. This battery got damaged because I was using a different one, and this one was just in a spot in my case that fit the battery. It wasn’t in the drone at the time.

Still looks like it’s beyond repair…
If your warranty covers it, just report it and send it in. It’s best not to try fixing it yourself because there’s a risk of puncturing the battery, which could be dangerous.
Definitely don’t fly with this battery. Don’t try to fix it yourself either. It’s safer to send it to DJI for repairs, even if it costs money. There’s a risk of short-circuiting it, and improper repairs can lead to the battery losing power while flying, which could cause a crash. It’s not worth the risk.
If you know what you’re doing, it might be fixable, but if not, it’s probably best not to try. Luckily, newer designs prevent a short from causing a fire, but it’s still better to be cautious and not risk flying with it or attempting repairs if you’re not sure.
It looks like the plastic parts separating the metal bits are broken, so the metal parts are touching. Maybe you could try separating them gently with a toothpick, but I’d be careful.
How did this happen? Was it during normal use?
