If things get that bad, you might not even be able to fly it. Better to sell and make something now than be stuck with dead gear later.

I’m FAA-certified and have all the gear I need for my business, but switching my analog FPV setup to digital has been a pain. Prices shot up like crazy.

I ended up getting the Neo and Avata 2 combos and they arrived in four days. Still using my Mavic 3 Classic for now, but once the market cools down I’m definitely eyeing the Mavic 4.

Yeah, eBay’s okay, but there’s always a risk the drone is still linked to someone else’s DJI account, which makes it unusable. At least with Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, you can meet the person and make sure it’s all cleared before you pay.

The drones are still being made — it’s the importers that can’t afford to bring them in because of the new tariffs.

I managed to snag an Air 3S basic combo used from Adorama for $900. In this market, that felt like a steal.

Whatever you do, don’t sell on eBay. I sold my Mavic Pro 3 there and the fees took $150 off what I made. Total loss.

I can’t find any locally either. That’s actually why I came to this forum. Wondering what’s behind the shortage and when it might get better.

There are still a few in stock at my Best Buy, but the DJI section is mostly gimbals and cameras now. Just a couple Minis and Avatas left.

Honestly? I’m terrified of breaking mine now. My Mavic 3 Cine is out of Care Refresh coverage and I can’t find anything else to buy even if I wanted to. Every used listing around me feels shady, and stores are completely empty. I was waiting on the Mavic 4 too, but who knows if or when that’ll ever drop.
