Just getting started with editing, what do you all think?

I’ve just started using my Mavic 3 Pro and experimenting with editing. Honest thoughts: does this look :fire: or :poop:?

At first glance, I thought it was a poster for a new Ghibli film.

The top half really reminds me of ‘Breath of the Wild.’ It’s got a cool vibe.

It’s a solid effort! One thing to consider is adjusting your composition and maybe cropping during editing. Since you have the ability to fly 360 degrees, make sure the shot’s angle is intentional.

For example, the bright green in the bottom left corner is a bit distracting. If you had tilted the drone slightly, it might have been avoided. You could also fly lower to bring out the colors in the trees as the main focus. Or, line up with the row of trees to create a sense of depth. There are many ways to improve—just have fun experimenting!

@Tobi
This was more of a quick shot I wanted to edit for practice. I’ll definitely be more intentional next time. I appreciate the detailed advice!

It’s a bit oversaturated, but the pic itself is great! Don’t worry, just dial it back a little next time.

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll keep that in mind!

Looks over-edited. The saturation is way too high, especially in the green areas, and there’s no contrast between the sky and the ground. It doesn’t look natural.

Cut the guy some slack; it’s his first try.

@Niko
Yeah, but the dude with the edgy username is known for being a bit of a jerk here.

Glad I’m not the only one who noticed!

@Niko
Still, the feedback is valid.

@Niko
You don’t need to be a photo-editing pro to see that it’s oversaturated.

I know it’s not perfect—it’s my first try, so I wasn’t expecting only positive comments.

@River
Honestly, you did well for your first go! The colors are a bit much and the lighting is uneven, but these are common beginner issues. Try balancing the lighting across the whole image and use editing software like Lightroom. Keep practicing!

@Terry
Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely work on it.

@River
I like it.

Appreciate it, brother!

The green looks a little too intense and unnatural.

Did anyone notice that the photo is saved as a JPEG? For beginners, it’s an okay mistake, but you should try shooting in RAW format for better editing options.
