Excited and a bit nervous
Congrats! I’ve been trying to get one since right after Christmas. My first order is stuck in Miami, and now I’m waiting on another one from Dronenerds. Fingers crossed it ships out soon.

I got mine through Miami port last week. Sounds like things are getting stuck now.

Oh no, I hope it gets to you soon! I ordered mine yesterday from DJI’s website, and it arrived today
@Sky
Are you in the US? If so, you’re lucky—getting through customs here is such a pain.

No, I’m in Europe.

That explains it. US customs is holding these up, claiming some parts are made with forced labor. Total nonsense, if you ask me.
@Vanya
Forced labor? What do they even do at customs about that?

It’s mostly political nonsense. DJI even wrote a blog post about it. Some people think a US-based drone company is pushing this. It’s a mess.

Why don’t US buyers just order from Amazon or another local store? The customs issue seems to happen only with direct DJI orders.
@Brady
Doesn’t Amazon bulk order from DJI, so they still go through customs? If you have a trick for getting them easily, let me know!

Amazon handles that hassle for you. They even have them in stock now. Why bother ordering direct?
@Brady
Amazon charges way more, though, and the reviews on those sellers aren’t great. Most are third-party sellers.

If you don’t like the price or seller, then deal with customs. Your choice. The link I shared earlier is from DJI’s official Amazon store.
@Brady
Actually, that link shows it’s being fulfilled by a third-party seller.
Vanya said:
@Brady
It wasn’t sold directly by DJI in that link you posted. Also, are you upset? Your comments sound kind of harsh.
Am I upset? No. Are you going to buy it or keep going in circles? I gave you a solution. Take it or leave it—I really don’t care.

Two of my orders got held up at customs too. I ordered from Dronenerds last week, but now their site says it’s just a reservation.

I talked to Drew from Dronenerds. He said if you ordered while it was in stock, it’ll ship.
Same here, they responded quickly. Hoping it ships soon.

Dronenerds still has my Air 2.

@Alix
They never shipped it? How long has it been?
Oh, it’s not new. I bought it cheap, broken, and sent it in for repairs. It’s taking forever.
