On the morning of the test, I took one last practice test, went to the testing center, reviewed every question twice, and walked out with a 93%.
The key is to actually learn the concepts and not just memorize questions. I had a lot of questions that were worded differently, but watching multiple videos helped me understand the material. Good luck to anyone studying for this test!
If you’re unsure about a question, skip it and come back. It lowers your stress, and you can focus on other questions first. You might even realize the answer when you revisit it.
Make sure you know what to bring. I only had my ID, keys, and a calculator (some test centers provide one). Leave your phone, hat, etc., in the car; you’ll just have to empty your pockets anyway.
Don’t watch the clock. You have 2 hours, which is plenty of time. Focus on the questions without stressing over time limits.
Source: I have major test anxiety but still managed a 97% on my Part 107 a few weeks ago.

Bring a small magnifying glass. It’s allowed and makes reading the maps much easier.

Good tip if you need it. I brought one but didn’t end up using it.

I found it really helpful. Honestly, those maps can be a pain. Everyone just uses apps in real life anyway.

Solid advice. Yeah, taking your time really helps. You can mark questions to come back to. Some questions I just stared at and thought through each answer until one seemed right!

Sometimes I just went with answers that sounded the most like official FAA talk. Got a 90% and studied a lot.
I got a 93% on Monday too and followed almost the same process! Scheduled the test a week in advance and used those exact videos and practice tests. Congrats!

Congrats to you too! The videos and practice really do the trick, especially for visual learners.
Just took the recertification test and wow, it’s super easy. It said three hours but I finished in 45 minutes. You need 100%, but you just retake any questions you miss until you pass. Once you have your Part 107, you’re set for the future!

I’m not the best test taker and get distracted easily, but I managed to get a 93% on my Part 107 test today! Here’s what I did that might help others:
I scheduled the test 10 days ago without knowing anything about it. Doing this pushed me to buckle down and study hard.
On the morning of the test, I took one last practice test, went to the testing center, reviewed every question twice, and walked out with a 93%.

Great tips! Honestly, this test isn’t hard if you put in the time. Paying for study material is just unnecessary.

I need structure, so I paid for Pilot Institute. It helped me stay focused and answered all my questions. Not easy for me, but everyone’s different.

I get it, but I just watched a few videos and got a 93%. But whatever works best for you is good. Some people need more structure.

Honestly, not everyone can learn that way. I tried videos but needed a structured course to get to 93%. If that’s what works for you, no shame in paying for a course.

Agreed. The free stuff is definitely good enough for this.

For some, it’s not easy. That’s why courses exist. It’s okay if people need more help.

Thanks for sharing this, super helpful! I’m excited to take the test now. I’m in The Bronx.

Congrats! I passed with 85% a few months ago. Mr. Migs really helped me with some tricky stuff. Having a magnifying glass also helped a ton, not just for the test but for checking drone serial numbers later on too. Onward and upward!
