Looking for a wearable gimbal for the Osmo Action 5… any cheap options?

Hey folks, I’m thinking about picking up the DJI Osmo Action 5 and was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a wearable gimbal I can use with it. I’d mostly be filming MTB rides, so I figured a gimbal could help keep things stable.

I haven’t seen anything official from DJI for this, and I’m also on a bit of a budget—under $100 would be perfect.

Any advice or gear suggestions would be awesome. Thanks!

Why do you even need a gimbal? The built-in stabilization on the Action 5 is already really solid.

DJI mostly makes gimbals for phones and bigger cameras. The Osmo Pocket is also a gimbal camera, but for the Action 5, I honestly don’t think you’ll need one.

I saw a video a while back that made it sound like a gimbal was a must for smooth footage. But yeah, that was for an older GoPro, so maybe things have improved since then.

Yeah, I’ve got the Action 3 and its stabilization is better than anything I’ve needed. The 5 should be even better.

Just grab the camera and a good chest or chin mount first—try it out. The built-in EIS is seriously impressive. Plus, if you wear a gimbal and crash, you’ll probably break it.

Bro, just get the Action 5. Wide field of view, killer stabilization—you’re good to go.

And yeah, check YouTube. Tons of folks ride with it and don’t use gimbals.

Come back with your first ride footage and show it off!
