I’m preparing a lecture on the risk-based approach for regulating UAS flights (such as EASA 947 - SORA). I’m looking for videos, reports, or articles on drone crashes involving planes, houses, or populated areas.
My goal is to engage my audience by highlighting that UAS are neither manned aircraft nor mere toys—remote pilots and operators need to assess operational risks and prioritize safety.
If you have any useful resources, I’d really appreciate it!

I don’t have a direct article link, but there was a recent drone collision with a tanker plane during the LA fires.
Thanks! I actually have some material on that one. The damage was pretty significant considering it was just a 250g drone hitting the leading edge of a fire tanker.
@Ezra
Most drone accidents should be public record, and the NTSB usually investigates them. Might be worth checking if they have reports available or if you can submit a records request.
Have you checked with the NTSB or FAA? They should have a ton of documentation on any drone incidents that were officially reported.
If a drone collision resulted in major damage or affected a manned aircraft, both agencies would have investigated it. Even for minor incidents, the FAA should have some records.
