Rumors about the Mavic 4 are picking up, and it looks like DJI might be making some big changes. The camera system is supposed to have three zoom levels—1x (24mm), 2.5x (50mm), and 6x (145mm). Some leaks say it could have a built-in ND filter and possibly a 100MP multi-shot mode. Price is rumored to start at $2,800, which has some people wondering if it’s worth the upgrade. Anyone else following these leaks? What are your thoughts?
If the price really starts at $2,800, that seems a bit high. The Mavic 3 Pro was already expensive, and I’m not sure the improvements justify the extra cost

Yeah, especially if the Classic version is just a single-camera setup like the Mavic 3. That would make it even harder to justify

I think they might include extra accessories in the base package, like extra batteries or a better controller, to make the price more reasonable
The new camera setup sounds interesting. I saw another leak that said the main lens might be 28mm instead of 24mm. That could change how the zoom levels work

A 28mm main lens would make it easier to get sharper images and reduce distortion for panoramas. It might be a good move

I hope they don’t mess up the telephoto range. The 70mm and 166mm zoom options make more sense than just tweaking the wide lens
If the 100MP rumors are true, I wonder how they’re pulling it off. A full 100MP sensor would be crazy expensive. Maybe it’s a multi-shot mode?

That’s what I heard too. It could be like the Sony multi-shot mode, where the sensor shifts slightly and combines images for a higher resolution

Makes sense. But if it takes a few seconds to process, moving objects will probably get ghosting issues
What do you think about the design? The leaks show a round camera housing instead of the usual boxy design. Looks different from previous Mavic drones

Yeah, I saw that. It reminds me of the Parrot Anafi. If it improves gimbal movement, I don’t mind the look

I don’t really care what it looks like as long as it performs well. The extra motion in the gimbal could be a game changer
I think people are going to have sticker shock when this releases. If the Cine version really costs over $4,000, it better come with some serious upgrades

It’s already double the price of the Air 3S. Unless battery life is significantly better, I don’t see the value

True, but if they add ProRes recording and better low-light performance, some people might be willing to pay for it
