Meet the DJI Flip… a new all-in-one vlog drone?

So, what’s everyone’s take on this new DJI Flip drone? Let’s discuss!

4K60 HDR, 4K100fps, active track, D-LOG M, 48MP camera, dual ISO, all for $439 in a bundle. Seems like a crazy deal to me.

How does this even compare to the Neo?

It has a better camera, a gimbal, twice the flight time, and onboard microSD storage.

The downside? No goggles support (at least for now), and it’s not very pocket-friendly.

@AeroAce
I’ve heard it struggles even in light winds. That’s a big downside for me.

Technically, its wind resistance is rated the same as the Mini models, but its smaller wingspan and shorter props could make it less stable. Also, its tall design might make it catch more wind.

@AeroAce
I saw a video by ‘Drone Creative’ on YouTube. The Flip was visibly drifting in the wind while the Mini 4 Pro held its position perfectly.

Yeah, his reviews are solid. The Flip’s tall body and built-in guards probably don’t help with wind handling.

@Rudy
The specs claim 10.7m/s wind resistance, same as the Mini 4 Pro, but the Flip’s max speed is only 12m/s compared to the Mini’s 16m/s. Maybe it just doesn’t have enough power to handle gusts.

Firmware updates might improve stabilization, though. It’s worth keeping an eye on.

@AeroAce
One reviewer made a great point—wind ratings usually apply to steady winds, not gusts. Handling gusts is where the Flip falls short right now. Not a dealbreaker, but something to think about.

It’s pretty similar. Closer to the Neo than the Mini 4 Pro.

I watched Becca Farsace’s video on it, and the phone connection range looked awful. Plus, there’s this high-pitched noise that’s really annoying.

On the bright side, the camera quality seems great. Could it compete with the Mini 3 or 4 Pro?

There’s a DJI Flip education course available in the app for anyone new to drones.

What’s the difference between this and the Neo? Seems like they overlap a lot.

No option to buy it without a controller? Disappointing.

Honestly, this feels like a remake of the DJI Spark, just with updated hardware.
