@WildWildWest Yeah, more like running before I could walk, and faceplanting into the dirt, haha.
@Jane I once stepped on my drone when I was drunk, showing it off. Broke a leg and had to pay to get it fixed. Ended up costing me £200, but I got a new one from the repair shop.
@WildWildWest Which company did you use? I’d love to know.
@Jane Sorry to say, but it wasn’t the drone’s fault. The RTH setting needs to be high enough to avoid obstacles.
@Jane If it’s been less than a week, reach out to DJI. You’re still under warranty.
Should I try to repair or replace it? No idea what to do.
@Jane If it’s within 48 hours, try to buy Care Refresh. If not, contact customer service and pay for the repair. But my vote is to get Care Refresh and start a ticket. DJI’s support is usually great.
@Joel Just bought a year of Care Refresh.
@Jane How much will the repair cost?
@Dolph At most, it’ll be $260 for a replacement. If they can fix it, maybe $70. But that’s a big maybe.
@Jane Definitely worth it, then.
@Jane If you use Care Refresh, it shouldn’t be that much. Create a ticket, and it’ll probably be less than $100. I’ve crashed a few drones, and the replacements are usually under $80.
@Daxton I just need to send the drone in by mail. They’ll see if it’s repairable, but I don’t think the battery can be shipped.
@Jane Only send what’s broken. They don’t need the battery unless it’s damaged.
@Jane I’d suggest you send it to DJI for repair. Their customer service is great. They’ll fix it or give you the best price.
@pablo Just bought Care Refresh, lol.
@Jane That’s fine, but don’t activate it until you send it in for repair.
Thanks to everyone for the advice! Was really worried earlier.
