ND filters causing camera calibration? Dij mini 2

Hi there

My Nd filters that I brought from Temu are functioning well. However, occasionally when I’m flying, the camera tries to calibrate itself, which causes it to stick and make a shaky sound while the footage on the screen does. I have to bring the drone back and touch the camera a little bit to avoid this from happening.

Do you know what I’m doing incorrectly?

Sounds like your drone’s camera is having a bit of a hiccup. Sometimes, if the ND filters are a bit too thick or not perfectly fitted, they can mess with the camera’s balance. Maybe try adjusting the filters or checking if they’re securely attached. I had a similar issue once, and a quick tweak fixed it.

ND filters can, in fact, interfere with the DJI Mini’s camera calibration. Many users have complained that ND filters can interfere with camera calibration, shake the gimbal, or even cause more significant issues like the gimbal not calibrating.

I had a similar issue with my drone’s camera calibration. It sounds like the ND filters might be causing some extra weight or imbalance, which is affecting the gimbal’s calibration. I found that ensuring the filters are securely attached and not obstructing the gimbal’s range of motion helped a lot. Sometimes, recalibrating the gimbal before flight can also prevent these issues. Make sure the filters are compatible with your drone model and consider checking the manufacturer’s recommendations for any weight limits or installation tips. If the problem persists, you might want to consult the drone’s manual or reach out to customer support for further troubleshooting.
