My DJI Avata 2 went down over water, and I’m not sure what caused it. Any tips on what to do or how to get it back? Here’s the pic of the spot:
Maybe try using a fishing net to get it out?

Yeah, we’re planning to give that a shot in the morning
How close were you flying to the other pilot with the mini?

Not super close, you can see in the picture how far away.

What about the controllers… how close were those?
@Drew
Oh, right, didn’t think of that… good question!
@Drew
We were standing right next to each other.

Probably within like 60 meters or so.
Looks like you got hit by a pirate’s cannonball

If anyone’s interested, I can upload the drone’s footage. It just stops over the water before disconnecting, so you can’t see the crash, but I’ve got it if it helps.
What exactly are you asking? Flying over water is risky, especially without refresh. Are you looking for a way to get it replaced?

I actually do have refresh, just trying to figure out what caused it to go down.
You should check out this DJI forum… they have experts who can help you analyze the flight logs. If you manage to get the drone out, grabbing the SD card could really help too.
