The obstacle avoidance on the Air 3 is a big step up from the Air 2. That 3x telephoto lens makes a real difference too. If you’re thinking about upgrading, I’d definitely say go for it.
It gets even worse once you get into FPV and start messing with whoops…

I told myself I’d only get one. I’m up to four now

I stopped counting after twelve… so yeah, totally agree lol

You’re not wrong. FPV is full of overpriced parts and cheap frames. And those weekly ‘crash-for-views’ challenges from FPV shops are just sad. It’s just a way to keep you spending. True story
@Nico
Nice one!

You’ve got the whole Angry Birds gang there

Nice flossing skills
Started with a Mini 2SE… then my wife got me the NEO with goggles and motion stick. Hooked instantly. Got an Air 3, Mini 4 Pro, Avata 2 with goggles and FPV RC. Then my dad gave me a Mavic 3 Pro, and my mom topped it off with a Skydio X10. Now I’m deep into Fat Shark and FPV. But hey—at least I’m not doing drugs.
@Noor
With that Skydio budget, why not go for the Matrice 4?

Funny you say that—I actually looked into it recently and really liked it, especially with the dock station option. But the Skydio was a gift. It’s decent, but not something I would’ve risked buying myself. A cop friend of mine has it now and says he actually prefers it over his Matrice 350.
@Noor
Makes sense, thanks for the reply
Drones are just the camera gear addiction with wings.
