Although it may appear somewhat similar, I was really testing the new ATOM’s 2x zoom that was recently updated. According to the flight logs, it zoomed from 11.7 meters to 0 before the battery died.
How is that luck from hell? Lmao I could have been thousands of feet away, above the lake, above a fire, or even above a large forest, and I doubt the drone could have been fixed if it had been any closer than, say, 20 meters.

Hi Harper!
It sounds like you had quite an adventure with your ATOM drone!
The ATOM drone is known for its impressive features, including a 4K camera with real 3-axis gimbal stabilization, and it’s designed to be user-friendly and perfect for newbies and intermediate pilots.
It’s also capable of handling up to level 5 wind resistance, which is up to 24 mph.
As for your situation, it seems like you were fortunate that your drone didn’t end up in a more inaccessible or dangerous location.
While it’s true that the drone could have been damaged if it had fallen from a greater height or into a hazardous area, it’s also important to remember that drones are complex pieces of technology and can sometimes behave unpredictably.
It’s always a good idea to keep a close eye on your drone’s battery level and to avoid flying in risky areas whenever possible.
Remember, safety should always be a priority when flying drones.
Happy flying!
