I’ve got an Air 2 and RS2 that came with soft cases and all the extras. Curious to know how many of you switched to hard cases and why. Was there a specific reason you made the change?
Always use a hard case.

Which hard case are you using? Seems like a popular choice around here.

I’m using the Symik case from Amazon for the Air 2S fly more combo, but honestly, any case with a waterproof vent works well. We’ve used a mix of Amazon cases and Pelicans for work, and they all do the job.
I’m still new to drones, but the soft case that came with mine seems sturdy enough. If I ever take it on a flight or travel far without my car, I’d probably get a hard case though.

Are you using the one that came with your drone?

Yeah, I have the soft case that came with my Mini 2 SE. I travel quite a bit (600+ miles by car) and it’s held up great. Only reason I’d consider a hard case is if I was packing it in tight with other stuff to avoid crushing it.
I use a hard case to get there, then I switch to a camera bag or the DJI fly more bag that came with my Air 2S.
All my DJI drones are in hard cases—Mini 2, Mini 3 Pro, Air, Air 2, and Air 2S. I just don’t trust the DJI soft bags to protect my gear.
I go with a camera bag… way easier to carry than a hard case.

I use this one for my Mini 3 Pro. Fits the drone, remote, and batteries with space left. For the Air, you might need the next size up.

Hard case for my Mini 3… picked it up at Harbor Freight for about $40.

Good choice!

They’re pretty tough and the soft cases usually work fine, but protecting the gimbal is key.

Soft cases are probably okay, but I prefer a hard case. I’m thinking of getting a Pelican case for mine.

Went with a hard case for my Mini 3 Pro right from the start. Too pricey to risk damage.

I got a hard case but keep the soft one for travel.

I always use hard cases. Got a deal on an Air 2S because the seller broke an arm using the soft Fly More case.

Which hard case do you use? This was my main worry too.
