Hi, its great to see the new RS4 mini WITH the DJI RS Intelligent Tracking Module I have some questions about it, no one cover it in YouTube and I’ve watched a dozen videos on it:
How does the new tracking module compare to the RavenEye transmission system? Is it a replacement for it ?
can you track a non human object? Like a shop sign, or make orbit shot for a product, for example. And if no, then why not ? Im so used to Tracking in Osmo pocket 3 and 2 you simply tap the screen, and it start to track.
and the most important, dose it support older Dji RS3 mini? With the included Adapter mount. In the website they say it compatible with Rs4/ pro / mini. If no, why not ?

DJI isn’t famous for back porting the star features of new products to previous generations, even when the hardware would absolutely support it.
So I’ve heard, do you think if many customers submit a request for supporting RS3 mini, they would comply?

They only SOMETIMES do this for the real Pro grade stuff for video making, more often than not it’s like each iteration is made by a totally different project team.

I’m not sure if it would work—it probably doesn’t have the right software to run it.
Could that be resolved with a firmware update?
I really don’t think so. For example, the DJI Air 3 and Air 3S have almost identical hardware, but DJI still chose not to bring the new features to the Air 3 through a firmware update, even though it’s about 90% the same hardware.
At the end of the day, if the older model gets all the same features, the new one wouldn’t sell as well.
