I recently got a Mavic 3 Classic and absolutely love it. Lately, I’ve been really into the idea of picking up an Avata 2 to start practicing FPV, both indoors and outdoors. I figure I can justify it by improving my flying skills, plus it would be nice to have a smaller drone since the Mavic is big and has open props.
It might not be ‘true’ racing FPV, but if you’re coming from flying a Mini 4, Mavic, or Air 3, it’s a fun change of pace. If money isn’t an issue, why not have options? Enjoy it!

Appreciate the honest feedback! I mostly got it to practice since the weather is bad where I am, and I don’t want to risk my Mavic 3 Classic in rough conditions. Plus, I figure it’ll help scratch the flying itch late at night and maybe even get some cool shots.

If you really want to get into FPV, this is probably the last drone you want. Honestly, you’d be better off just getting Goggles 2 and a motion controller to use with your Mavic 3 Classic.
The Avata 2 failed on me twice—once near Niagara Falls, almost 30m from the edge. Luckily, it didn’t hit anyone, but after that, I lost all trust in it.
If you’re serious about FPV, look into tinywhoops and FPV sims first. Just my two cents!
