Thinking about trading my Mini 4K for the Mini 3… is it worth it?

Hey folks, so I just got my first DJI drone—the Mini 4K—but now I’m thinking about switching it for the Mini 3. Would that be a smart move or not really worth it?

Honestly, yes! I’ve flown the Mini 2 SE, Mini 4K, and the Mini 3 one after the other, and the Mini 3 is way better. The image looks smoother, and when you fly fast or sideways in sport mode, the Mini 4K’s gimbal jerks and messes up the video. The Mini 3 doesn’t do that. If you can, go for the Mini 3 Pro—it adds obstacle sensors and 10-bit color (HLG), which is even nicer.

Totally agree—image quality is way better on the Mini 3, and it feels way more solid while flying.

Yep, I’d say it’s worth switching. But if your budget allows, try to get the 3 Pro instead.

It kind of depends on what you’re using it for. If you don’t shoot much in sport mode or vertical for social media, then switching to the regular Mini 3 might not be a huge upgrade—unless the price difference is small. But if you’re thinking about the Mini 3 Pro, then yes, that’s a solid upgrade.
