What are the rules for DJI Mini 3 Pro in Switzerland?

I’m heading to Switzerland soon and got a bit confused about the rules. I have a DJI Mini 3 Pro and read on the Swiss site that all drones with cameras need to broadcast Remote ID. But even though my drone supports it, the option isn’t available in Europe. DJI Support said it’s allowed… Am I missing something here?

Switzerland follows the EU rules, and for a drone like the Mini 3 which is class C0, remote ID isn’t required (check this EU doc). You do have to register the drone since it has a camera, either in Switzerland or an EU country, and you need third-party insurance.

@Charlie
Thanks for the info! Does the Mini 3 Pro have the C0 tag? I thought it was an older drone. Still, it’s in the A1 category, so I guess those rules apply. Also, do national rules usually differ from EU rules?

@Ameliascarlet
Yeah, the Mini 3 Pro shows up in several lists of EU-approved drones. Usually, national rules add to the EU rules rather than replace them.

Got it, thanks!
