Genuine question. Unless you’re vlogging, I can’t see a reason to buy this. Even then, the DJI Action 2 seems more durable and capable for the same price. I got the Action 2 and love it. I just don’t get the point of the Pocket unless you’re a pro vlogger.
I took a Pocket 2 on a trip to NYC last year, and it was perfect. It’s super quick to start recording and stays stable. It’s also better in low light, has a bigger sensor, and works with magnetic filters. Plus, you can still use your phone as a phone while filming.
I use mine for real estate videos. The Pocket gives me better footage, more dynamic range, and matches my M3C drone footage well.
I use it for covering big events, small events, b-roll, and even full videos. It’s more capable than you’d think.
Osmo Pockets are a great alternative to phones on gimbals. They’re super smooth and let you get crane-like shots easily. The gimbal also allows you to do smooth rotations around subjects, which isn’t possible with an action cam.
Porn.

I’d use it for my firearms content. It’s light, and with ActiveTrack, I don’t need anyone to help me film.

I love it for motion lapses. It’s way easier than setting up a bigger gimbal setup for timelapses.

The Pocket 3 has way better image quality, low light performance, and stabilization than any action cam. If you’re not planning to do extreme activities, the Pocket 3 is great for smooth, high-quality footage.

Lots of hiking and photography YouTubers use the Pocket because it’s lightweight and portable. It’s great for vlogging and capturing landscapes without taking up much space.

I use mine for low-light cycling footage since action cams struggle in those conditions. The gimbal lets it work well even in low light, making it perfect for post-sunset rides.

It’s great for b-roll. We use it a lot at the studio for capturing smooth footage on the fly.

I used it to record a concert I went to recently. It’s great for that and vacation videos too.

I like using it for vacations and bike rides. It’s more stable than just using a phone, and it’s easy to stash away.

I vlog with it. The Pocket 3 has good video quality, a mechanical gimbal, a 1-inch sensor, and a wireless mic. I find it much easier to carry and use than a bigger camera setup.

It’s perfect when a full-sized gimbal and camera aren’t practical.

You can use it indoors to mimic flying shots without having to fly a drone.

I got the Pocket 1 for hiking. It’s super handy when I don’t want to keep pulling out my phone for shots, and the stabilization is great.

I use my Pocket 2 on freelance gigs instead of my mirrorless camera for ground shots, and the quality’s never been an issue.

I like recording memories without carrying a big setup. The Pocket 2 is quick, discreet, and doesn’t attract attention, unlike a phone or GoPro.
