It’s in uncontrolled airspace, but don’t go too high or too close to the bridge. Lots of aircraft flying low in that area. I took this shot from about 60-70 meters. Golden Gate, though, is a no-fly zone.

Nope, there’s a temporary restriction starting in two days. Not sure how long it lasts, but better to play it safe.

Why did you take the risk and fly over traffic, though? Even if it’s uncontrolled airspace, you still have to follow the other rules. If your drone fails, it could cause a huge accident on the bridge.

Calm down. Read section 107.145. My drone meets the requirements for a brief flyover.

But B1 says you have to be in a restricted area and inform people. This was not a restricted zone, and I doubt you told anyone.

I’ve been flying professionally since the early FAA rules. It’s for controlled environments like movie sets. You need to know the laws to keep everyone safe.

This is actually the Bay Bridge, not Golden Gate.
