What I Think About the Neo Drone So Far…

It’s a handy little drone. I also own a Mavic 2 Pro and Air 2, and since I live in a big city, sometimes those are too much effort for a quick photo. The Neo can get the job done in seconds. Sure, the camera isn’t the best, but it’s a $200 flying camera, so it’s not going to compete with a Mavic. For its size, it works well. The tracking is decent, though the app’s manual controls could use some improvement. Overall, I’m enjoying it so far, I just got it earlier today.

Be careful using your phone with it. A lot of people on this forum have lost their drones when it goes out of Wi-Fi range and disconnects. It won’t always return home and might just fly off.

Yeah, I’ve seen a bunch of posts about this happening. Even saw a video once.

That’s unfortunate, but I have to admit it’s a little funny too.

Definitely a good deal for what you pay.

Quick question—can the Neo take overhead shots? Like, can the camera point straight down at a full 90 degrees?

Just got back from a vacation with the Neo, and now I can’t imagine going on a trip without it. I mostly used it without connecting to my phone or remote—that’s what I like most about it. I’d definitely get a Neo 2 if they improve the camera and add some obstacle detection.

The video quality is really disappointing… even for $199. It’s basically a toy with a camera that feels like it’s from the '90s.

Honestly, the camera quality surprised me in a good way.
