Trying to decide between Mini 4K and Neo. Which one is better for a beginner?
I started with the Mini 3 and I’m really happy with it. I recommend getting the Fly More Combo—it gives you about 1.5 hours of flight time. The Mini 3 Pro also has obstacle sensors, which are really helpful, but it’s more expensive.
The Mini 4K is a solid budget choice for beginners. If you have extra money, go for the Mini 3 Fly More Combo. I don’t think the RC is worth the extra $300, but if your budget allows, the Mini 4 Pro Fly More is one of the best options.
@Luca
Agreed!
Mini 4 Pro, no question.

Yep, the M4P is my go-to drone.
What do you plan to use the drone for? Knowing why you want one could help narrow it down.
The Mini 3 is a bit more expensive, but its larger 0.76-inch sensor and vertical filming feature make it worth it, in my opinion. The Mini 4K is great for basic tasks, but its 0.43-inch sensor isn’t ideal. The Neo is more like a toy, so I’d avoid it.
I was worried I’d lose interest, so I bought a used Mini 2 Fly More for $400 a couple of years ago. It worked out great—I learned at my own pace. Now I feel ready to upgrade to something like the 4 Pro. If I’d crashed a brand-new drone costing three times as much, I’d never have forgiven myself.
@Blai
Have you tried DJI Care Refresh?
I didn’t think you could get that for a used drone, but it’s probably a must if I buy a new one.

For the Mini 2, they used to offer it if you completed a video verification. That would give you 72 hours to buy Care Refresh. Not sure if it’s still an option, though.
If you’re looking for something super simple, the Neo is easy to use. But if I were you, I’d go with the Mini 4 Pro.
I’d recommend the Mini 4 Pro (M4P).
Go with the 4K.
Neither. Go for the Avata 2. The motion controller makes FPV flying super easy.
If you’re mainly interested in flying drones, go for the Mini 4K (or the Mini 3 if you can afford it). If you want to use it for videos, vlogs, or casual flying, the Neo might be better. It can record with audio from your phone, works without a remote, and can handle crashes better.
