What’s the best first DJI drone that does 4K60?

Hey folks,

I’ve got a few YouTube channels and I’m looking to level up the visuals with some killer drone shots. I’ve never flown a drone before, but I’m good at editing and all my content is usually shot in 4K60, 4K120, or 8K30 — so I really want a drone that can do at least 4K at 60fps.

I’ve been eyeing the DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo — looks like a solid option. But is there anything else out there that’s cheaper or better for a total beginner like me, but still shoots 4K60?

Appreciate the help!

Why specifically 4K at 60fps though?

All my YouTube stuff is shot in 4K60 or higher, so I need to match the footage for quality and smoothness.

Don’t wait around. I waited and totally regret not grabbing one earlier. If you know what you want, just go for it.

Fair enough, thanks!

Mini 4 Pro is an excellent choice. Just a heads-up — if you’re in the U.S. and using it for YouTube (non-recreational), you’d need a Part 107 license. But if you’re in Canada, you’re good with just the basic cert.

@Andi
Yep, I’m in Canada so no biggie there. Appreciate it!

Your top picks right now are the Mini 4 Pro or the Air 3/3S. The Mini 3 Pro also does 4K60 but the price difference is pretty small, and the 4 Pro is just better overall. Plus, with Prime Day coming or the next model maybe dropping soon, prices might dip a bit.

@Nyx
Let’s not jump the gun on the Mini 5 Pro. There’s literally zero confirmed info out there right now.

@Nyx
Alright then — swap that with ‘wait for Prime Day deals’ :sweat_smile:

Thanks a lot! Super helpful.
