What’s the best software for editing videos?

What do you all use to edit your DJI videos? Does DJI provide any video editing software? Is there an AI tool that I can just feed my video clips into and have it do the editing for me? I’m looking to create YouTube-quality travel videos with background music.

I use DaVinci Resolve, and it’s awesome! You can do pretty much everything you need. Check out this tutorial: Link

iMovie works great for simple edits.

DJI Mimo or DJI Fly are good options, especially if you want something straightforward. For PC editing, DaVinci Resolve is my go-to.

Thanks, I’ll check those out!

You can try LightCut, which is from DJI. It lets you upload photos and videos, and it automatically creates a montage. You can customize the music, add stickers, or text if you want to make it your own.

Sounds perfect, thanks! I’ll give it a shot.

DJI Fly might also be worth trying. It’s built right into the app, and while there are probably better options out there, it works pretty well for me.

I’m using Adobe Premiere Elements 2020, but they’re up to 2025 now. Adobe has always been pretty stable on my computer.

LumaFusion is a great paid app. I love using it for color grading and editing my DJI footage. The interface takes a little getting used to, but it’s amazing to be able to edit on a phone or tablet. I use it on my Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy Tab 9, and it works flawlessly.

I’d recommend VideoGuru, Videomaker app, or DaVinci Resolve if you’re editing on a PC.

If you’re working on an iPad, LumaFusion is cheap and hard to beat. On a PC, DaVinci Resolve is the gold standard and is free unless you need to edit 10-bit 4:2:2 footage or higher resolutions than 4K60P. If you decide to get the Studio version, it’s reasonably priced, and you get a lifetime license. Sometimes, there are deals where they include a $300 Speed Editor for free with the software, which is how I got mine.
