I’ve just ordered my new drone, but I’m unsure about what size SD card to get. I plan to fly every weekend for a few hours. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
I’d suggest a 64GB to 128GB card. It’s important to make a habit of emptying it every month or after transferring footage to a laptop/hard drive. These sizes are reasonably priced, and ensure you get one that supports 4K—my first two were only 1080p and didn’t work well.
@Gray
Thanks! I have a hard drive for storage—about 2 terabytes—but it’s already about 60% full. I’ll definitely get a new one when it’s full.

That sounds like a good plan!

Is 130MB/s fast enough?

Yes, if I remember correctly, you need at least 120MB/s.

Make sure to get the pricier SanDisk option; I think it’s the Ultra. The Extreme is too slow and may not work.

I was looking at the Philips Ultra Pro.
@Crosby
I haven’t heard of that, but okay.
@Crosby
That looks good!
You should check the read/write speeds. The better quality the video/photo, the faster the write speed needs to be to avoid lag.
64GB is more than sufficient for filming in 4K; just make sure it’s fast enough. I have 6 of them and swap them out with each battery change, so if I lose one, I don’t lose my earlier footage.
I use a SanDisk Extreme Pro 32GB in my Mini 4 Pro, and it’s enough for my needs.
