When is the DJI Mini 5 Pro coming out? Should I wait or just buy the Mini 4 Pro?

Hey everyone, I gave my DJI Mini 3 Pro to my son in August so he could take it on his travels. I was hoping the DJI Mini 5 Pro would be out by now because I wanted to try it before my big trip to New Zealand in January (bucket list stuff!).

I’ve been searching online like crazy but can’t find any solid rumors about when it might launch. Should I just grab the Mini 4 Pro instead? My husband thinks buying the 4 and then upgrading to the 5 when it’s out would be a waste of money, but I’m feeling drone-less over here! :sweat_smile:

Anyone have any thoughts or heard anything about the Mini 5 Pro? Thanks so much in advance! :raised_hands:

If there’s no buzz or rumors, it’s probably not coming anytime soon. The Mini 4 Pro might be your best option for now. Just a heads-up, though—when I was in New Zealand, a lot of places had strict no-drone rules, so check the local laws before you fly!

I was basing it on DJI’s usual update cycle and what people in drone groups have been saying. Kind of like how Apple drops new phones every September.

The Mini 4 Pro is likely going to stick around for a while. It’s already pushing the limits of what current tech can do at that weight.

The Mini 4 Pro is still pretty solid. I wouldn’t expect a Mini 5 Pro anytime soon.

I’m still flying my Mini 3 Pro, and I plan to stick with it until it’s either dead or I crash it, lol.

I’d go with the Mini 4 Pro. The camera might not be much better than the Mini 3 Pro’s, but everything else about it is a solid improvement.
