I use three different apps to check airspace maps and no-fly zones, but they all seem to have slight differences. Which app or service do you trust the most to stay out of trouble?
I use Air Control. Not sure if it’s the best, but it’s worked well for me. It has alerted me to temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) in the past, like when the president was in town.
ForeFlight—just kidding. I actually use Air Aware.
I like Opensky. It has some nice features.
I’ve tried three different apps, and they all approve LAANC flights when available. But I live in a permanent restricted airspace zone under 4,000 feet, so I don’t get much real-time info on active flights near me.
