Which is better: DJI Air 3 (1 battery + RC-N3) or Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo?

Hey everyone! :raising_hand_man:

I’m looking to buy a new drone and I’m stuck between two options:

  1. DJI Air 3S with one battery and RC-N3 (the standard kit without the smart controller)
  2. DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo (with three batteries, charging hub, and carrying case)

I plan to use the drone for a mix of things—travel, hobby flying, and some photography/video for social media. I know the Air 3S has better image quality, longer flight time, and handles wind better, but the Mini 4 Pro is more compact, lighter, and easier to travel with. Plus, it has great features too.

So my question is: Which one would you choose—and why?

Appreciate any input! :raised_hands:

( I LIVE IN EU, THE C1 CLASSED DRONE RULES AREN’T THAT BAD )

Went through the exact same thought process and decided that the mini 4 pro fly more combo was much more bang for buck considering. With the air 3, you will need at least another battery. One battery is simply not enough, standard controller is fine but the general consensus is that the RC2, with the screen integrated is far superior, even when considering the screen brightness factor alone. Plus when travelling you’ll get away with having a drone under the 250g rule more often.

Neither is better. The Mini 4 Pro can be flown with fewer restrictions.

Another thing to consider is the charger. Using a regular house cube or wall outlet with the built-in USB 30w charger takes a hell of a long time to get to halfway. I say the Mini 4 Pro fly more. Even though better batteries are $95USD. The Air 3’s are yeouch. I have both drones and rarely use the Air 3. Bigger, louder, and it’s mostly for work. The 4 Pro is easier all the way around. And cheaper.

Mini 4 Pro, less restriction, amazing drone.

I bought the ‘old’ Air 3 recently (upgrade from Mavic 1) with RC-N2 for 640€ + additional battery for 110€.

Pretty happy so far with the image quality - much better than old Mavic, very stable, 40Min flight time vs. 20…

Registration is fine, but yes, the Mini is much smaller (Controller is similar).

Air 3 for sure!

These two drones are in totally different leagues. I love the Mini drones, and I have one (alongside my Air 3S), but it’d be stupid to choose a Mini over the Air 3/3S if I had to buy one regardless if it’s the basic vs fly more.

One reason that’s enough for me: I am in the EU too, and it’s pretty normal you go out on a nice weekend to an amazing place, you wanna take a shot but guess what? It’s windy :sob::sob::sob::sob:

Air 3/3S flies like a dragon! You never worry and you just focus on flying and capturing.
