Which one should I get… the DJI Mini 4 Pro or the DJI Flip?

Hey everyone,

I’d really appreciate your thoughts on this. I’m stuck choosing between the DJI Flip and the Mini 4 Pro. Budget isn’t a problem, but I don’t want to overspend if the Flip can already do 95% of what I need.

Mostly I just want to shoot good videos and photos. The only big differences I’ve heard about are that the Mini 4 Pro handles wind better and has full obstacle avoidance. People keep saying the Flip doesn’t do well in windy weather.

Also curious—if anything breaks, is one easier or cheaper to repair than the other? Like parts or after-sales help?

Let me know what you’d pick between the two.

Thanks so much!

If you’re worried about repairs or parts, there’s really no big difference between the two in terms of support.

That said, the Mini 4 Pro is definitely the better drone overall.

Agreed. It’s really not even close when you compare them side by side.

Honestly, Mini 4 Pro is way ahead. The Flip is fun but doesn’t come close in features or image quality.

It depends what you’re using it for. If you want quick shots of yourself, friends, or your surroundings without fiddling with a controller, the Flip might be perfect. It follows you on its own and gets ground-level shots that feel more natural.

I hike and bike solo a lot, and I like that the Flip keeps up with me without needing to fly it manually all the time. I used to have the Mini 1, and most of my clips were just static landscape shots or me standing still.

The Mini 4 Pro has better specs and can do all that too, but you’ll always be more involved while flying it. And yes, both drones have Level 5 wind resistance, but the Flip’s shape makes it a little shakier when it’s breezy.

Whatever you get, just make sure to get DJI Care. Totally worth it.
