I know the 6 is coming out soon, but I kinda need a camera now. The Action 4 is on sale, and I could even pick up a used one. I’ve read a bunch of comparisons and to be honest, the 4 looks better to me — especially since it doesn’t seem to process the image as heavily as the 5. That said, am I totally off for leaning toward the 4 instead of the 5? Or am I just being dumb buying either of them right before the 6 drops?
I got the 4 just because, in my opinion, the image quality is better than the 5. And that’s what really matters in the end — it captures more detail.

Yeah the 5 has stuff like better battery life, internal storage, and a bigger OLED screen. Does that not make it worth it?
I went with the 4 too. Just picked up a few of the 1950 mAh batteries like the ones for the 5. The OLED screen doesn’t make much of a difference honestly — it’s tiny anyway.

I heard those bigger batteries don’t really add much extra recording time on the Action 4 though — is that true?
@Mars
They do give you a bit more time, but it’s not a big jump. Maybe just a few extra minutes. This guy tested it: https://youtube.com/watch?v=1p_29qmlMjk
