Anyone know why my brand new DJI mini 3 plus batteries took 38 hours to fully charge? This was their first charge ever. I used the DJI quick charger with a dedicated outlet.
That seems excessive.

I agree
Can you share a photo of your charging setup, including the charger, the cable, and the block plugged into the outlet? I’m not exactly clear on what the DJI quick charger is. It sounds like the charger might be low wattage or malfunctioning. It’s also possible that the USB-C cable you’re using is low quality, but that’s less likely.
This might be a known issue, but I was once stopped from flying because the battery needed a firmware update. Have you tried putting them in your drone to see if they work?

Not yet.

I hate when that happens… so frustrating
When you mention the DJI quick charger, are you referring to the case that charges three batteries one after the other? It makes me think the issue might be with the small charger plugged into your outlet. Cheap chargers only provide 10-15 watts, while a good one should be at least 60 watts to charge your batteries quickly. I use a 100-watt charger, which works well for my Air3S batteries.
@Bela
That’s what I meant.
You need at least 65 watts output, according to DJI recommendations. That might be your problem.
With a charging hub, the batteries charge in order, so the last one might take longer.

Yup, that’s correct.
I’ve got a 100-watt charger coming. Thanks!
I meant the case. Sorry for the confusion, the three-battery holder.
In the future, a bit more detail would really help with clarity.

I described the product — battery brand, type, series, age, quantity, charging method, how long it took, and my question about whether this is normal. What more do you need to analyze this situation?
@Jamie
I’m not trying to dispute you, but I think it’s important to provide complete information. We all try to help, and sometimes important facts get left out. I don’t own a Mini 3, but I have friends with them, and I’ve got hubs for Mini 1 and 2. I’ve never heard DJI call their hubs ‘quick chargers,’ so a few of us were confused but didn’t want to ask. There are quite a few details in these drones that get complicated. I’m here to help with clear solutions, no matter how the issue is presented.
I’m open to being corrected if I’m wrong—I’ve learned a lot from discussions with others. I wasn’t trying to argue, be rude, or preach, just offer help.
@Ollie
No argument here. I genuinely want to know what else is required for advice on why my batteries took 38 hours to charge. Forget about grammar; people generally get the point. What matters is how the information is presented, not just that maybe the batteries are faulty or that I don’t have enough power.
@Ollie
Forget quick charger. It’s a term I’ve heard before and misused.
