Why are so many drones flying over the palisades fire?

This behavior is dangerous and needs to stop before someone gets hurt.

The FAA needs to take action against these pilots. They’re putting lives at risk and slowing down firefighting efforts.

These people are going to ruin drone flying for everyone else.

Honestly, I hope stricter rules come out of this.

The rules already make it difficult, and many people fly drones for footage like this.

Pete Herron is the worst offender.

@Devon
I looked at his analytics, and he’s already set for life. Not surprising he doesn’t care.

Promoting this behavior to hundreds of thousands of followers makes this situation worse. It’s irresponsible.

Shaking my head at how reckless people can be.

Some drones won’t let you fly in restricted zones, but ironically, those companies are under scrutiny.

It’s surprisingly easy to bypass those restrictions. Just clicking a few boxes can get you past them.

@Bao
I didn’t realize it was so simple. Makes you wonder why anyone buys other brands.

Flying in restricted areas can lead to fines of up to $100,000. It’s not worth the risk.

If they can identify these operators so easily, why haven’t they done so yet?

The drones broadcast the operators’ locations. Why can’t they just stop them?

Flying like this should be considered a federal crime.

Flying drones comes with responsibilities. If you’re making money from it without proper certification, it’s illegal. Recreational flying also has rules to follow. People breaking these laws are putting others at risk and might cause tighter restrictions for everyone.
