Why is Costco calling the Mini 4 Pro bundle discontinued in their store system

Yes! That’s the first thing I thought of.

I don’t think the mini 5 pro is coming out anytime soon. Maybe end of this year or early next year, but we won’t know until the DJI announcement.

@Wolf
The leaks have barely come out. So I’d guess it’s a fall release

My local warehouse in North Carolina had the display still in-store, but all the cards and price info were removed yesterday. I asked a manager about buying the display item, but he indicated that it is typically returned to DJI. Costco’s inventory system showed the Mini 4 Pro bundle was discontinued, though it is still available online. This could either mean a release of a new model soon, or a temporary pause in DJI drone sales at Costco. They still have the OSMO on sale and the Mini bundles have been popular.

@Finn
Hi, I don’t think the release of a new model from DJI is likely. But they may replace it with a different drone at Costco.

@Finn
Maybe Costco is stopping sales because of shipping issues from HK? I noticed the DJI website has some models marked as sold out too.

@Finn
They probably still have a lot in the back. I wonder what the lowest price was at your local store.

Mini 4 pro not available at B&H or Crutchfield. Something is about to happen.

They get most of their drones from dronenerds and they have it in stock.

Could it be because the mini 5 is coming out soon?

Probably, still feels like the mini 4 pro just came out.

Costco sold the mini 3 while the 4 was available elsewhere. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t sell it up to the launch.

@Dakota
Did the price drop much for the mini 3?

It was a pretty good deal, but I forgot the price.

The Mini 4 Pro has been the longest-lived in the Mini series—it’s been available for over 18 months and really needs a refresh.

@Finn
If the mini 5 has a larger camera sensor, it might be worth it. I’m not sure what else they can improve, but better low light obstacle avoidance would be nice. How much more can they push sub 250g? I’ve had my license for a while now, so if I upgrade, I’m going for a full-sized drone.

@Torrance
The rumors are looking good. Here’s a link with more info: DJI Mini 5 Pro Leak Reveals Advanced Features Below 250g

Stores are having a really tough time keeping them in stock.

If you check out the DJI website, they are promoting almost every accessory except for the drones.
