Every time I try to record in 4K with my Mavic Pro, it automatically switches down to 720p. I’ve checked the settings, but no luck so far… anyone know what’s up?
Yeah, I had the same issue. Turns out you need to switch to ‘Normal Mode’ in the image transmission settings, otherwise it caps the resolution.

Normal mode? Didn’t even know that was a thing. Thanks, I’ll give it a try.

Yup, I had to do the same. Once you’re in normal mode, it should allow the 4K setting. Hope it works.
Just a heads up… even in 4K mode, the live feed might still be in 720p to save processing power. So the recording should still be in 4K on the SD card.

Oh, so it only shows 720p on the controller but records in 4K? That makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up.
Check the SD card type too. Sometimes, a slower card will mess up the recording settings. I use a Class 10 or UHS-1 card.

Good point. Some cards just can’t keep up with 4K video.
Also, make sure your video settings are correct in the camera options. There’s a setting to change the video size and format.

I’ll double-check those too. Didn’t realize there were so many settings that affect this.
I had this issue before. Resetting the camera settings and then setting it to 4K again worked for me. Might be worth a shot.

I’ll try resetting, thanks. I’m really hoping this fixes it.
