Maybe a stupid question, but would the prices be affected if I’m over here in Mexico trying to buy a drone?
No.
Unless you’re buying a Chinese drone shipped from the USA to Mexico – then, no.
Drones may go down in price depending on how many US drones flood the Mexican market.
Prices might also increase if a lot of US people try to buy them in Mexico (though that would be risky since smuggling doesn’t seem worth it). Additionally, prices could rise if players in the supply chain try to profit more.
@Farrell
Exactly. Just wait and see.
Unlikely. Even if China ships drones to the USA and then into Mexico, Mexico would need to impose import tariffs for those items.

If it comes through America, it won’t clear customs without the tariffs being paid. They’re hardly making it through US customs as it is.
There’s really no point in sending them through the US; they’d go directly from China to Mexico.
If you’re planning to bring it back across the border, you would legally be subject to the related duties.

Or just unpack it abroad and claim you had it with you the whole time. They can’t prove otherwise.

Not yet…but eventually, the orange man will find a way to mess that up too.
Raises American tariffs and makes Mexico pay for it? Brilliant move!
No.
