What do you recommend for drone insurance? I need both liability and hull coverage. An app would be a nice extra, but the most important thing for me is good customer support.
This appears to be a commonly asked question regarding which drone to buy. Please take a look at the weekly stickied thread for recommendations, questions, and answers.

@Cairo
I’ve noticed a few posts about drone insurance here lately. Do you know if the stickied thread on this topic has recommendations or is just general info?

Thanks!
I use both AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) for annual coverage and SkyWatch for individual jobs when I need it.

How are SkyWatch’s monthly/yearly plans? Or is it mainly for single-job coverage?
@Peyton
It’s really a question of how often you’ll need coverage. Longer plans get cheaper, but if you’re only flying occasionally, the individual policies make sense.
I’ve always used Verifly for business flights. The app is super convenient—it takes about 5 minutes to get a policy before starting a job.
I’m an EU citizen (from Cyprus), and I’m struggling to find public liability coverage so I can fly my drone in Norway, where insurance is required even for personal use.
I tried Allianz, Coverdrone, Gjensidige (a Norwegian provider), and some international options (Skywatch, Verifly), but none of them cover EU citizens for personal drone use.
Does anyone know of an insurance provider that offers this type of coverage for Norway or across the EU? Thanks!
How often do you fly and need coverage? Do you need it occasionally or year-round?

A yearly or monthly policy would probably be ideal for me.

I have a policy through BWI—$1000/year for $1 million in liability, plus full coverage on my equipment for damage or theft.
