DJI fixed my drone after a crash… didn’t even have Care Refresh… anyone else?

So this was kinda unexpected. I crashed my drone pretty badly, hit a power line, fell about 20 feet, and the gimbal got messed up. I managed to fix some stuff myself, but the camera was still out of focus, and there was an error in the app. I decided to send it in, fully prepared to pay around $300 for repairs. But today, I got a voicemail saying they’re shipping it back soon, and they’re doing the repairs for free under warranty… I’m honestly shocked. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this happen?

Maybe they’re trying to keep us happy so we’ll stick up for them if the government ever tries to ban DJI drones haha.

Could be that or maybe they track how much you’ve spent on their stuff. I’ve logged in on every DJI drone I own.

I crashed my Air 2S a while back and broke one of the arms. Thought about fixing it myself but didn’t want to mess up the soldering. I contacted DJI, and for $69, they covered shipping both ways, evaluated the damage, and sent me a refurbished unit with a new set of blades. I was blown away by how easy and affordable it was.

Yeah, I’m not complaining, but I just don’t get it. I crashed it myself, so I wasn’t expecting any kind of free repair. I figured it would cost me big time, but instead, they’re covering $200 worth of fixes. Anyone else had this kind of experience?

Yeah, something similar happened to me too. I’ve had four DJI drones and always bought Care Refresh, but when I crashed my Mavic 3 Classic, my coverage had expired a month before. I emailed them, admitted it was my fault, and sent the drone in. I expected a hefty bill but got charged just $75 because they saw I had never used my Care Refresh before. They replaced my drone like I still had coverage. DJI’s customer service has always been awesome.

This kind of support is exactly why I’m sticking with DJI. Now I just need to decide which one to buy next… Mini 4 Pro or Air 3?
