I don’t own both but know people who’ve had issues with Holy Stone. They say DJI’s miles ahead in reliability.

Thanks for sharing! Curious how the HS600 would do if DJI got banned. Doesn’t seem too bad as a budget option.
@Gray
If you’re testing the waters, used DJI might be worth looking into. Loads of people sell barely used ones with tons of accessories.

I get that. Not looking to buy now, just curious what folks think about both brands.
Had a Holy Stone, then got a DJI. Feels like comparing an old ‘78 Toyota to a new Honda Civic.

That seems to be the path most people take. Had a ‘73 Celica myself!
I’ve used both but only kept the DJI. Holy Stone doesn’t come close in reliability, especially on windy days.

Gotcha. Just wondering what specifically sets them apart?

For me, DJI just feels safer. Holy Stone had multiple times where it randomly flew off. My DJI has never done that.
@Dana
Yeah, seems like DJI is the reliable choice if you’re looking to upgrade.
I’ve got the HS360, HS710, and a DJI Mini 4 Pro. Happy to answer any questions.

How does the HS600 compare to the Mini 2 SE in terms of build and flight reliability? Just wondering how close they are.
@Gray
DJI’s build quality is on another level. For pure fun, Holy Stone’s great, but the DJI wins for photos and videos every time.

Thanks for the insights. Seems like DJI’s higher-end features really make a difference for serious users.
@Gray
Yeah, but Holy Stone is still great for basic flying. DJI’s just unbeatable if you want pro-level shots.

Totally agree. HS has its place, but if I get more serious, DJI seems like the next step up.
I’m stuck deciding… what did you end up getting?

Haven’t bought anything yet, just asking around!
Trying to pick between the HS360 and Mini 2 SE. Which one’s better for a first drone?
Heard DJI might be banned or sold. I own the HS175D but gotta admit, DJI’s obstacle avoidance is tempting. HS is good for learning, though.
