Wondering if anyone here replaces their props after a certain amount of flight time or just waits until they start noticing issues. What’s your approach?
I usually check them before and after flights. If the drone starts flying weird, that’s when I swap them out.
Nope.

Not gonna downvote you, but I do think it’s a good idea to change them out if they’ve been used for a while.
Mavic 3 Pro, 50+ hours, same props, no damage.
I’ve flown multiple drones for who knows how many hours… never changed a prop.

I feel like high winds, sun, salt, and water exposure weaken them over time. I don’t want to lose my drone because I didn’t swap props before they failed.
@Teo
Maybe just swap them once a year?
@Teo
Your call, but they’re not sitting in the sun long enough to be an issue unless you leave your drone out. Salt and water are way worse for the electronics than the props. As for wind, they handle way more force just doing their job than anything nature throws at them.
If you’re worried, check for cracks or brittleness, but honestly, most drones don’t crash because of prop failure.
No.
No lol, they’re not car tires. They don’t wear out from use.

I think they might get weaker over time.

Props aren’t muscles lol.
Lol, just hit 1000 minutes of flight time (50 flights at ~20 mins each) on my Mini 2. Still using the stock props. Only thing I replaced was a battery, and I still keep the old one as a backup.
I’ve only swapped props once… and that was after I clipped a porch

Yeah, that’s definitely a reason to change them out.
No.
Nope.
Only if they show signs of damage.
I don’t, but I’ve been wondering the same thing. Seems like it’d make sense to swap them like you do oil or belts on a car.
